Fortunately, the COVID-19 restrictions on overnight camps were lifted enough this term enabling our Year 5 students to attend a leadership camp at the Collaroy Centre.
One of our Year 5 students Elise reports the following about this experience:
This year the Year 5 students had the great opportunity of going to the Collaroy Centre for our leadership camp. At Leadership Camp we learnt a lot about teamwork and working together. In the rock climbing, we had to hold up our team mates on the rock climbing wall and on the giant swing we had to pull our team mates up the swing. This taught us to put our trust in other people.
We also learnt a lot about encouraging each other. On the high ropes, some people were very scared but we all encouraged them to keep going and face their fears.
Some of the other activities we did were initiative games, archery, laser tag, high ropes and orienteering.
The leadership Camp taught us a lot about teamwork and the importance of encouraging each other.
We hope you enjoy watching the video below showing the highlights of our Leadership Camp.
