School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school events feature:

Performances by our choir groups, dance ensembles, drama students, bands, and string groups

Life Education Incursion

Dates: 31 August - 4 September

For: Kindergarten, Years 2, 4 and 6

The Life Education lessons support our Personal Development, Health and Physical Education syllabus and follow Department of Education guidelines. Life Education provides a positive health-based education program for students in Kindergarten to Year 6. Their aim is to empower children and young people to make safer and healthier choices.

P&C Meeting

Date: Tuesday, 1 Sept

Time: 7pm - in person or via zoom (details in latest newsletter)

These meetings provide a forum for parents to discuss the school’s operation with the school’s Principal. Other school executive members and teachers often attend and provide an opportunity to meet in an informal, friendly atmosphere.

Zone Athletics Carnival

Date: Thursday, 3 September

Time: 6.15am arrival for 6.30am departure

Where: Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre - Warm Up Track.

The carnival commences at 8:15am and will be finished by 2:00pm.

Students will travel as a team by bus to the venue and will be required at school by 6.15am for a 6.30am departure.

All students are expected to travel by bus to the carnival.

Upcoming School Tour

Date: Wednesday, 9 September

Time: 9.30am

We would like to welcome you to our beautiful school. Please come along and meet the students and teachers of Forestville Public School. Tours run for aproximately 1 hour.

P&C Fundraiser

Trivia Night - Euro Trip

Date: Saturday 12 September

Time: Doors open 6pm, Trivia starts 7pm

Where: Dee Why RSL Grand Ballroom

Gather your team, decorate your table, and prepare for an evening of laughter, friendly competition, and European-inspired fun. Last drinks at 11:30pm, with the disco finishing at midnight 🪩🕺
