School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school events feature:

Book Donation Drive

Date: Monday, 29 June - Thursday, 2 July

Where: School Library

When: 8.40-9.00am & 3.00-3.20pm, plus 15min before and after the Recognition Assemblies.

FPS is always busy restocking the library with new and exciting books. During our Book Donation event, the students are able to pay $10 to "donate" one of the books already purchased by the school for the library.

When a student "donates" their chosen book from our collection, they get to put a special sticker on the inside cover of the book acknowledging who donated it. They are also the first student to borrow the book for the holidays!

SRC Fundraiser - Mufti Day

Date: Thursday, 2 July

What to wear: A touch of blue or yellow

Our Student Representative Council is excited to host a mufti day to raise funds for the Cancer Council, a leading organisation dedicated to cancer research, prevention and support services for those affected by cancer.

We encourage everyone to incorporate these colours into their outfits and bring a gold coin donation to contribute to this important cause.

Kindergarten 2027 Parent Information Evening

Date: Wednesday, 29 July

Time: 5.30 - 6.30pm

Where: School Library

Join us at Forestville Public School for an informative session where our staff will share valuable insights on school readiness, along with detailed information about our school.

This event is open to both families who have already enroled and those considering Forestville Public School for their child.

No RSVP is necessary. For any questions or further details, please contact the school office.

P&C Meeting

Date: Tuesday, 4 August

Time: 7pm - in person or via zoom (details in latest newsletter)

These meetings provide a forum for parents to discuss the school’s operation with the school’s Principal. Other school executive members and teachers often attend and provide an opportunity to meet in an informal, friendly atmosphere.
