The School Council meets twice a term to discuss, support and participate in the management of the school.
Membership consists of two elected parent members, two elected staff members, the president of the P&C or their representative, a community member and the school principal.
An important function of the School Council is to participate in the school's self evaluation. Each year all NSW public schools are required to conduct at least two annual evaluations - one related to educational and management practice and the other related to curriculum. As part of these evaluations the School Council organise Focus Groups to facilitate structured conversation about the areas of evaluation. The outcome from these groups assists the School Council in the design of a survey that is then distrubuted to staff, parents and students.
