Before School, After School and Vacation Care at Forestville Public School is operated by the Y NSW on the school premises. The Y NSW aims to provide a fun, safe environment where children can make new friends and build their confidence outside of the classroom.
Parents can drop their children off for supervision by the Y NSW’s highly-qualified, trained Educators at Before School Care from 7am until 9am. Supervision commences again for After School Care at 3pm and concludes for the day at 6pm.
At the Y NSW, the children's interests are the foundations of their programs. Children are encouraged to be involved in interesting and exciting play experiences and explore their natural talents and potential. Children can participate and enjoy a range of leisure and play-based activities such as different team sports, dance and music, indoor discussions, arts and crafts, cooking and more! Experienced Educators tailor programs for each child based on the My Time Our Place framework and homework is also encouraged.
The Y NSW aims to inspire all children to engage in a healthy and active lifestyle. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served each day in accordance with government recommended healthy eating guidelines. Children are also encouraged to participate in outdoor active play.
An exciting and fun Vacation Care program is also offered during each school holiday period, with a wide range of activities, day camps and workshops within the centre for children to look forward to.
